I think if they qualify they have every chance of winning it..There is no really stand out team in Europe right now..And as we have seen from the qualifying anyone can beat just about anyone
Scotland beating the French twice..N.Ireland beating Spain and Sweden,Holland haven't impressed beating the likes of Albania and Luxembourg only 1-0..The Portugese haven't been great with Finland and Serbia running them close for 2nd spot behind Poland
I suppose the favourites will be the Germans and Italy but Italy weren't great when pressured by the Scots tonight
I think it's wide open and England definatly have the players to do it

A team that struggles to qualify has 'every chance of winning it'? Hmm. Anything is possible - did someone mention Greece? - but I'd look at England's woeful record in finals, especially when it comes to penalty shoot outs, and compare it very negatively with that of Germany and Italy (who, while not as successful as Germany in modern times, can at least get to finals often and semi-finals with ease, in contrast to England who have reached four semi-finals in their entire history, two of them on their home turf).

They have every chance of winning it..
I don't think it matters that they struggled to qualify..Remember the Finals aren't for another 10 months or so...
When you have players of the class of Terry,Gerrard,Lampard,Rooney,Richards,Cole and Owen if fit you can't rule them out in my opinion..
I hope to god they don't though.The one good thing to come out of this though is maybe now the FAI will forget about Terry Venables as ROI manager
