The House Of Mouse will never be the same........

The American actor who was the voice of Mickey Mouse for 32 years has died at the age of 62.

Wayne Allwine had worked at The Walt Disney Co since 1966, starting in the mailroom before he became the voice of the famous cartoon mouse in 1977.

The Walt Disney Co said Allwine died of complications from diabetes, with his wife, an actress who was the voice of Minnie Mouse, by his side.

His voice can still be heard at Disney theme parks around the world.

Allwine also voiced Mickey in Mickey's Christmas Carol and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

He won an Emmy Award in 1986 for sound editing on the NBC series Amazing Stories.

He was the third person to voice Mickey - following Walt Disney himself and Jimmy MacDonald.

Allwine once said: "Mickey's the real star.

"You know you just have to love the little guy while you have him, because he won't be yours forever."

He was praised by Walt Disney bosses, with Roy Disney, director emeritus for The Walt Disney Co, saying he gave Mickey Mouse "a heart and soul".

Tysons four year old daughter dies after accident

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8068048.stm

The four-year-old daughter of US boxer Mike Tyson has died, a day after she was injured while playing at home, police in Phoenix have said.

Exodus Tyson had been in hospital on life support since Monday, when she was found with her neck caught in a cable of a treadmill exercise machine.

Mr Tyson, an ex-heavyweight champion, was in Las Vegas when it happened, but flew to Phoenix on Monday.

A police investigation has ruled the death a "tragic accident."

"I was just advised by investigators that Exodus Tyson was pronounced deceased at 1145 [local time on Tuesday - 1845 GMT] at the hospital," Phoenix police spokesman Andy Hill said in a statement. "Our sympathies go out to the family."

Police had earlier said the girl was playing on the treadmill on Monday when her head apparently slipped inside a cord hanging under the console.

They said the girl had either put her head in the looped cord or slipped and was unable to remove it.

She was found by her older brother at the family's home in Arizona.

The child's mother had called emergency services when she was alerted by her son and tried to resuscitate her.

The family has asked for privacy.

Danny La Rue
Entertainer Danny La Rue has died at his home in Kent at the age of 81, according to reports.
La Rue, who was born Daniel Patrick Carroll in Cork, Ireland, moved to London with his mother when he was nine.
La Rue's spokeswoman told the PA News Agency that the star had died after suffering from cancer.
"Danny died peacefully in his sleep just before midnight last night after a short illness," she said.
"His beloved companion Annie Galbraith was with him at their home in Kent," she added. La Rue made a career out of his vaudeville drag act.
But he disliked being called a drag artist, preferring the term "comic in a frock".
La Rue made few appearances on television, but played a leading role in keeping the traditions of music hall and pantomime alive.
In the 1970s and 1980s, La Rue was the most famous female impersonator in the world and was at one time the highest-paid entertainer in Britain, according to The Stage newspaper.
He received an OBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace in 2002 who admitted to being a long-time fan of the entertainer.

"Kung Fu" and "Kill Bill" star David Carradine was found hung himself in a closet in a hotel room in Bangkok on Wednesday, Thai police said.

Police believed he committed suicide.

Carradine, 72, was in Bangkok to shoot a movie and stayed at a Suite Room 352 of the Park Nai Lert Hotel on Wireless Road since June 2.

The film crew were aware of his absence when they went to dine out at a restaurant on Sathorn Road on June 3.

Carradine did not show up at the dinner and the team could not reach him. They assumed that he took a rest because of his age.

It was a hotel's maid who opened his suite on Thursday at 10 am only to find Carradine in a closet. He was described as behind half naked.

Police investigation showed that he hung himself with a rope, the kind that is used with curtains.

Police said he was dead for not less than 12 hours and found no sign of fighting and assaults.

Aside from Quentin Tarantino's twopart "Kill Bill" in 200304, Carradine was perhaps best known for his role as the fugitive halfChinese Shaolin monk Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s easternwestern TV drama "Kung Fu". He also starred in Martin Scorsese's "Boxcar Bertha" in 1972, portrayed folksinger Woody Guthrie in "Bound for Glory" in 1976, acted in Ingmar Bergman's "The Serpent's Egg" in  1977 and costarred with half brothers Keith Carradine and Robert Carradine in the 1980 western "The Long Riders".

His father was the noted actor John Carradine.

In Thai cinemas, Carradine was recently seen as a martialarts guru in the Rob Schneider comedy "Big Stan" and as a perverted elderly Chinese mobster in "Crank: High Voltage" starring Jason Statham.

Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and genitals on Thursday morning.

The US star was in Thailand filming his latest film Stretch, according to his personal manager Chuck Binder.
