Surely if it has anything to do with Tyrone it must be a rural myth.

Rest in Peace. Gerry best known to us in Ros for running out and shouting something at Dermot Earley as he was taking a 50, last kick of the game, that would have put Ros in the 1977 All-Ireland. In fairness Dermot said it wasn't the reason he missed. Armagh won the replay. It was a great rivalry back then.

He taught me Irish, though sometimes discussion in the class meandered into football talk.

Felix Baumgartner. Died in a paragliding crash. He did a skydive from space a good few years back.

Wow, aged 56 so not a bad innings for a daredevil. Great life.

"He made the historic jump over Roswell, New Mexico, reaching a peak speed of more than 1,343km/h, on the 65th anniversary of legendary American pilot Chuck Yeager's flight shattering the sound barrier on 14 October 1947"

I did not know that cool detail about Roswell and Yeagar association.
