Kerry author and historian Domhnall Mac a tSíthigh (Danny Sheehy) died while taking part in a 'Camino by sea' voyage to Spain.

I watched a recent documentary on the journey he took by currach from Ireland to Santiago by sea, along with musicians including Glen Hansard.

When RTE went on strike in the early 90s, Fred Cogley ran the station almost singlehandedly for a couple of weeks.
