Hopefully that soul is at rest now. He was a tortured man in the aftermath.

laoisgaa tells me that Martin Slevin, of O'Dempsey's in Laois, has passed away today after a battle with leukemia. Martin marked me back in 1994 in the Leinster U21 Championship battle of Tullamore, but he never struck a foul belt that day, probably didn't need to marking me. I'm shocked to hear this as he was such a fit fella, he played for Laois seniors for a while as well, I think.

RIP Martin.

How did he live so long after writing that song? I'm surprised nobody shot him for inflicting that upon the world!  ;D
