Word is McNulty not staying in Laois next year. Was he under pressure as he seemed to be doing an ok job with what he had to work with?

Turgid stuff, Donegal without the success is just dour stuff. You'd think it was Rocket science too, the 'tactics' that go into producing this skitter. I'm sure there's a cheaper local version available now.

I'm glad he left the Armagh setup. Armagh may well be a very average team, but at least we're not a very average team playing rugby league.

Jaysus they played plenty of football this year in plaois the night they beat us by ten points - and should have been twenty

It be a backwards step for him.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

He will not be Armagh manager for foreseeable. Grimley reappointed tonight with Stevie McDonnell under 21 manager.

McNulty did a poor job in Laois. He won ONE match in Leinster in 3 years. ONE match!
He also alienated several Laois players so never played with a full deck. In saying that he probably wold be better manager than Grimley?

Sure Canavan hasn't won a match for Fermanagh in Ulster in 2 years, yet,. You love going on rants about various managers.

The Boy Wonder

Justin McNulty came to Laois as a rookie inter-county manager. His term could not be deemed successful but at the same time Laois have gone forward to a degree in terms of organisation and preparation.

The reasons for lack of real progress :
- the limitations of the panel at his disposal & non-commitment from a handful of players who might / might not have made a difference
- tactical naivety / lack of game-plan and an overly defensive approach (I'm sure he has learned some lessons here).

Justin will have developed as a manager in his time with Laois and to be fair he performed quite well. Best wishes to him for the future.

If some on the Laois team don't have a full deck, is this the managers fault?
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Surely that's why someone who works in a Sports Psychology company was employed?
