derry you are probably lookin at ballinderry in the south til magilligan in the north... about 50 miles or so and well over a 2hr round trip

Can't see Ballinderry playing Magilligan anytime soon but Ballinderry to Steelstown or Coleraine (Portstewart) would be something similar.
Though compared to some other counties these are relatively short trips!
yes that fixture won't be happening any time soon!! yes quite lucky in derry!

What is the longest distance a club may have to travel in your county for a club game? I seen on Tyrone thread there that Urney would face a near two hour journey to play Moortown.

In Down the longest journey would prob be the 60 mile trip from An Riocht to St Paul's. around an hour and a half to get there.

For those of us with bad sea legs Portaferry to Rostrevor via Carryduff and back is 135 miles all in....taking a whopping 1 hour 52 mins each way - that's your near 2 hour journey there!

The longest in Kerry would probably be Tousist to Tarbert at 77 miles

Tut, tut, don't even know your 'own' (?) county (from AA Route Planner):

From: Coornagillagh, Tousist, County Kerry
To: Tarbert, Tarbert, County Kerry

Time: 2 hr 4 min
Distance: 76.2 Miles

From: Waterville, County Kerry
To: Tarbert, Tarbert, County Kerry

Time: 1 hr 58 min
Distance: 79.5 Miles

I'll keep you right! :P

If you go on out to Valentia Island for a game you can add another mile or so on to that Fear!!!

Id say Belmullet to Shrule would take longer than Belmullet to Ballahgaderreen.

It's tiring correcting such basic errors but someone has to do it. You'll learn.

A Roscommon club by the name of Ballaghaderreen. They lost the Roscommon county final to Bridgid's later in the year.

Just on the Kerry one lads, the longest possible journey is Tarbert-Tuosist (who's pitch is in Lauragh) its 83 miles give or take a few yards. Tarbert-Derrynane (field is in Caherdaniel) would be 82 miles.

In Cork, Castletownbere (Castletown Bearhaven) - Mitchelstown is 108 miles...reckless trip!

Say ... Malin v Kilcar 300km (188 mile) round trip. You'd do well to do it in 2 and a half hours each way.

Malin to Glencolmcille a wee bit longer. Over 100 miles each way
HARD TO BEAT THAT ONE
104.3 miles
Time: 3 hr 16 min

though this is further even if the AA recommend less time
GOLEEN CHARLEVILLE Distance: 112.9 miles (show in km)
Time: 3 hr 8 min

Shamrock Shore

I spose in Longford a trip by Dromard to play Cashel (and vice versa) would be the longest - perhaps a trip of 40 mins each way.

Laureleye may find fault with this as it's been a long time since I was traipsing up and down the by-roads of Longford to matches.

Yup, thats what I thought.

To be honest, I didnt even think about Derrynane which is definitely a long one as well.....but I vaguely recalled this coming up before (I think it was on the Kerry gaa site forum) and someone saying that Tousist was the furthest. The pitch in Valentia is near Chapeltown which, according to google maps, is 80.8 miles from Tarbert so Tousist would pip them as well.

and, as pointed out above, it looks like goleen-Charleville is the longest in cork and hence, probably Ireland,  longer than goleen-Mitchesltown and castletownbere.

However, I will leave it to someone from Cork to give the final verdict taking into account actual pitch locations, bad roads etc as, unlike some Nordies on here, I wouldnt like to preach to someone about their own county.
