Jimmy got himself a diploma in sports psychology and every word he utters is deemed as genius mind games. Reminds me a bit of the life of Brian.

O'Driscoll? D'arcy? Cowen?
For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world & loses his soul.

They're sounding like very sore losers at this stage - making fools of themselves.

I agree with you 100% maguire....if they lose. If they win they will look like geniuses.

It's all or nothing.
No, they look like sore losers already. Because they've already lost the Ulster final.

playing mind games and using the media to get your own team/opponents going/under pressure is going a long time in the GAA.
not as much as it happens in soccer etc but its been there decades.

in times past these managers used to say the wrong thing and it would be used as motivation by their opponents, but the current crop of bainesteoiri are better at this than their predecessors!

nothing new and nothing much actually happening here!

100%..some boys have little to be at dissecting every word out of managers mouths. Re Jimmy, being a bit cute on it but no trash talk.

Sensible post but there are also new elements.

Chiefly, McGuinness belatedly and cynically using an injury to attempt to influence referees/public opinion/all of the above.

Exhibit A:

Lynchbhoy is correct.

However, what the latest round of noveau-clever-coaches-comment does, is to shine a light on who are the people who suck it in for an easy tabloid-esque life and who are the real journalists who challenge their bullshit.

It may not be entirely new but it shouldn't be welcomed all the same.

In Cork, they still argue if the original Rory Gallagher is from there or Donegal.

In Dublin, Cavan, Antrim, Fermanagh and Donegal they haven't a clue where the new one is from or where he is going next.

If eyes were on the main prize, your management team wouldn't be spending their time griping about what happened in the Ulster final and floating conspiracy theories.

maguire, you are obviously a beginner at this whole mind games mullarkey. Even as we speak Donegal footballers are roaring like caged lions, mad to get going, while down in Mayo they are all huddled in a living room in Foxford, wide eyed in terror. Donegal by 10 ;D ;D ;D ;D

ah be god, be jasus, yes.

Now, tell me which one of them counties or clubs within the counties I mentioned that Rory Gallagher (II) did not represent?

I'll buy you a virtual pint and a skype short if you do.
