Showing come character. What a turnaround in one season. Fair play.

GalwayBayBoy

Cork goal. Bugger. Level.

Captain Obvious

That goal was coming in fairness. They missed another five at least.

Wildweasel74

Cork 1.15 Galway 0.16, P O`Neill having a big game for Cork

GalwayBayBoy

Goal was a killer. Think we would have held on had we not conceded one.

GalwayBayBoy

Cork 3 up. Cork emptied the bench and it has made a difference for them late on.

Shamrock Shore

Late goal for Galway but Cork win

1-17
1-16

Captain Obvious

Good effort by Galway and good test for Cork before the quarter final something Mayo could have done with. Meehan still has it.

GalwayBayBoy

Meehan goal

Galway 1-16 Cork 1-17

And ref blows it up.

Sickener to lose a match you've led for 90% of it but great effort by Galway all the same. Stronger bench won it for Cork in the last 7 minutes. The makings of a good Galway team there in the years to come hopefully. Wouldn't have thought that after the Mayo debacle. Mulholland deserves credit for what was close to being a remarkable turnaround. Congrats to Cork.

Galway should have won this, on top for 61mins only to be blown away by Cork late on. Over the whole game Galway were the better team but Cork should have found the net twice, Galway be sick but i remember them doing it to derry back in 2001 when they won late on after been dominated. Cork will not be happy they look disjointed, the strongest team is not on the pitch, they have problems at no.6 and still dont ave a gameplan, they would not have clawed back Galways lead against Donegal

Hard luck Galway but little consolation in a close loss.Hard to know what to make of Cork but in fairness they do keep plugging away even when the game seemed to be going Galways way
