"Who is organising this competition".  Where does the "Money" go? Has your "Keyboard been on the mushrooms?"

I'd be pretty confident this would be in clear breach of the amateur ethos and rules of the GAA. Of course you can't dictate what players get up to on their own time, but I suspect that might be part of the reason why it's not taking place on a GAA ground.

If I was a player looking to take part in this, I'd want to be pretty clear that the event has it's own insurance that's up to par - your standard playing insurance certainly wouldn't cover you here.

Hi lone shark;
The Corona Cic Saor Championships is not a GAA sport and is not affiliated with or to the GAA in any way and neither is the venue in which it takes place, therefore the Cic Saor Championships or any of its participants are not in breach of any "rules", as the GAA have absolutely no jurisdiction in relation to the event. Please remember this competition is not restricted "solely" to Gaelic football players, you can enter irrespective of you sporting background  eg (Soccer or rugby etc).

All relevant insurance will be in place.

Hi Hardy;
Cic Saor is fund raising for the Dundalk Young Irelands GFC; The Dundalk Young Irelands are regarded as one of the oldest clubs  in existence. They played in the "first ever" All Ireland Final, unfortunately they find themselves in a precarious financial position and are at risk of closure.

I would urge everyone to support the Corona Cic Saor 2013 even by buying just one ticket for €6 to help ensure the future of this historically important GAA Club.

All information in relation to the Corona Cic Saor is clearly stated on our website www.cicsaor.ie ...if i can help you with anything further please ask.

kind regards
Cic Saor

Does all the money go to DYI and this elusive charity or are there other interested parties?
I'm gonna show you as gently as I can how much you don't know.

Hi Aristo;
I'm puzzeled as to why you would post a fictitious Profit & Loss With made up figures and incorrect information, for a event that you have no part in, an event that hasn't even taken place, "mind you, i do like your pretend profit figure, it would'nt be a bad days work".

Hi sludden;
As i have stated a number times, we are raising funds primarily for Dundalk Young Irelands, we will confirm another charity before the event date, if not it will be for Dundalk Young Ireland only.

Hi lone shark;
The Corona Cic Saor Championships is not a GAA sport and is not affiliated with or to the GAA

Why are you here in the GAA discussion thread then? There is another section for non GAA discussion.

My figures are clearly marked "projected" but call them fictiitious if you will.

Who is your paymaster???!

What is Oisin getting into his hand from this????

Cillian O'Connor will be busying preparing for the All Ireland Final the following weekend and we don't want any of those lovely girls distracting him. Please send the €5000 cheque to:

macdanger2,
Knockmore,
Co Mayo

and I'll see that he gets it.

I'd like to see the ladeen bang a few sideline bothering 45m pluses before he gets his cheque. Accurate, but within a moderate range only.

Have a watch of this from 05:50 to 06:40, not that far out but two sweet sideline balls to retain Division 1 status for us
