I like the way the management is thinking and I like the look of the forward line even more now. Wallace out the field with room to run is spot on. That's if selected positions mean anything.

Crisp fans at Croke Park are in for a real treat. Raymond Coyle, founder of Largo Foods and Tayto Park, announced today that 20,000 bags of Tayto Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and Smokey Bacon crisps as well as Hunky Dorys Cheese and Onion, Buffalo and Salt and Vinegar crisps will be handed out to supporters  as they make their way to the grounds for the match on Saturday

Do ye see that Meath woman has her fist clenched. Subliminal.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Jinxy

The Cavan men will bring bin bags with them for this.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Keane

In case anyone is interested, Big Joe is doing a Q&A on twitter at 1pm - he'll be logged into @GAALive, if you want to ask him something tweet to that account with #AskJoe.

Yeah, keep Peadar in reserve and give Wallace lots of room.
He'll be a great outlet for the defenders.

I'd say those two blades eat some feed of crisps every day. Lovin' the advertising. More please.

Meath 0-01 Tyrone 0-00 after that exhange with the real winner that auld boy in the middle.

Fuzzman

I never liked these new Tyrone jerseys before until that pic.
Sheamy do you rate the Meath wan more than the blondie?

I'd say Meath are licking their lips looking at that Tyrone defence but they might underestimate the amount of bodies we'll have back there.
Unless they move the ball direct and fast they won't be getting much time to shoot.

Weather here in Dublin is 21C but quite a few thundery showers today and then bright sunshine.
Tomorrow evening looks like it should be nice but with risk of heavy showers later on

Since this is a clash of the northern and southern sons of the Uí Néill, I thought we ought to play our theme tune.

I'm not a great historian but is there a long standing division between the Uí Néill clan stretching back through history? (beyond 1996).
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

They were handing out loads of Hunky Dorys last week in Newbridge as well ,
along with massive Hunk Dory Red hands that the kids loved ...

Niall had 7 sons. Some set up camp in the north. Some in the south. We don't really talk about the Clann Cholmáin from your part. A bit like the bad cousin.

Its good to see Colm and Peter getting another chance, it would be wrong to drop them after 10 1 bad performance.

Ciaran McGinleys inclusion is purely football based and nothing to do with where he is from

Aye Tyrone will win nothing with Mickey Harte in charge. Far too biased. Picking 2 players from the county champions is a joke.

He must have a hold over a lot of managers in Ulster too. Both Colm and Peter have played for Ulster in the last year, played on Sigerson cup teams and won underage All Irelands. McGinley also played in a Sigerson Cup final not so long ago. Mickey Harte is a disgrae getting these boys the games and medals.

I actually think Mattie Donnelly could be the best partner we have for O'Neill up front. None of the others have really taken the opportunity. Him and O'Neill with someone like Coney playing of them could be very dangerous. But not sure if we could afford to take him out of his current position where he offers a lot too.

Fuzzman

I certainly would like to see that tried out R Santa but I don't think Mickey will ever do it.
Mickey seems very focused on playing people like the 2 Donnellys, Penrose, Harte etc all back inside their own 40 and then break forward together.

I for one would like to see Penrose and Mark Donnelly having a lot more shots in a match. I'd say that's why Penrose seems to be a constant starter every match, not for his scoring exploits any more.

So underage success should guarantee you numerous chances at senior level even though its clear you aren't cutting it. There was many a good minor and u21 who never made it at senior level. Clonoe and Coalisland have both won championships in recent years and it didn't guarantee any of their players a place on the panel never mind the starting team.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
