Very exciting game to watch, felt terrible for the Kilkenny keeper at the end though.

"The eagle-eyed umpire reached for his green flag and Wexford were Leinster champions for the first time in elven years!"

Seeing as Elves are immortal, that's a long time.

I'll get my staff...

Dual player Lee Chin's hopes of playing for either the Wexford footballers or hurlers in tomorrow's All-Ireland qualifiers look to have been dashed by injury.

Chin captained the Wexford Under-21 hurlers to a famous Leinster final win over Kilkenny on Wednesday night and was facing a decision as to which team to line out for tomorrow evening.

The Wexford senior hurlers are in action against Clare in Thurles tomorrow at 5pm, with the county's senior football team due to play Longford away at 7pm.

However, a long-standing knee problem has decided Chin's fate and the talented 20-year-old will now not play for either the hurlers or footballers.

Chin has had an MRI scan on the injured knee and Wexford football manager Aidan O'Brien, who included the Sarsfields clubman on the bench for the Longford game, says he is unlikely to see any action.

"He has had a knee injury for some time. After playing extra-time last night (Wednesday) his knee has given him some trouble again. He played through the pain towards the end," O'Brien told the Irish Times.

"I have spoken to Lee and there is a fairly strong possibility he may not be able to play so that therefore pre-empts any decision about whether he plays hurling or football. His injury appears to have taken care of the whole situation if you know what I mean."
