The young fella has passed the test. What is the best (cheapest) deal for getting him insured in the Nirth?

I found that very few companies will quote in N.I. I ended up using Axa direct...cost £1800, TPFT for a VW polo first year, £1650 this year.
Rip off but what can you do.

Not exactly young but I used compareni.com for my better halfs insurance. Got a better deal than any local company offered. Got it reduced too when I added myself  (10 years experience) as a named driver. Cost about £100 less with me named than with me not

I paid 1160 for my 20yr old daughter driving a polo from Axa, they are also fitting a datalogger to record her driving which will knock another 10% off if she drives safely. A bit of peace of mind for parents. Still cheaper for girls than boys regardless of that European ruling it seems.

Try elephant.co.uk and put yourself and or wife as a named driver, that may reduce the quote!
