Quote from: Hand of God on November 21, 2025, 10:10:02 AMStill all very quiet on new call ups. McCullagh and Joey Clarke so far the only new call ups that have publicly been reported.

McGeary not back until at earliest the end of the league. Meyler and Bradley gone. Futures of Harte, Donnelly, Burns, Brennan, Morgan, McCurry, Hampsey,Michael O'Neill probably all not certain with their age profile.

You'd be expecting there should be 10 plus new faces that weren't on the panel last season for the McKenna Cup. Hopefully guys like Rafferty, McHugh, O'Hare, McGarrity etc see plenty of minutes during the league to bring them on as serious options this year.

Daly from omagh also got the call up along with Clarke and mccullagh from the u20s.

Quote from: alwaysbackthedraw on November 21, 2025, 11:23:59 AMPlayers i would like to see feature in a Tyrone jersey in 2026:

Paul Donaghy
Ruairi Mccullagh
Michael Rafferty
Danny Fullerton
Conor Oneill
Ethan Jordan
Ciaran bogue
Dalaigh Jones
Conor Cush

Anyone else have any other shouts?

Do you want to see those 7 forwards mentioned to feature instead of Mc curry, darragh, Ruiri, mcelholm, o donnell, Donnelly etc or do you want Tyrone to just play them all and forget about the other positions?

Good call ups. Three players we can expect to see in the team for the next ten years. Probably looking at 2027 for them to really get going but. I would say you won't see much change coming in 2026, more so in 2027 and beyond as Hampsey, Brennan, McGeary, Burns, Mattie, Peter Harte and McCurry step away.
Big thing I think Tyrone need to sort in 2026 is a half forward line that has kickout options and scores. Personally I think Cathal Donaghy on the wing and Lorcan McGarrity off 11 has the most potential at nailing down these positions.
2026:
Morgan
Teague/Quinn/Clarke
Hampsey
Devlin
McKernan
Brennan
McGeary
Kennedy
Kilpatrick
Daly
McGarrity
Cathal Donaghy
McCurry
Darragh Canavan
McElholm

Teague/Quinn/Clarke
o'Donnell
Burns
Oguz
McDonnell
Ruairi Canavan
Mattie
Harte
Conor O'Neill
Ruairi McCullagh
Callum Daly
Joey Clarke

Thats a strong side and panel for 2026 and should be looking at an Ulster Title and probably last four again.

I liked what Teague brought to the team last year and would have him starting. I think the team will end up soemthing like you named but not many at the moment are sure of their position. Shea Ohare is putting in the s&C work and will be keen to put the mayo game behind him

Will Dungannon be getting the call up?

I'd like to see Teague at 6. I didn't think Rory Brennan had his best year last year and Teague is also a good 2 point option playing further up.

Has anyone new been confirmed other than guys progressing from last years u20 side?

Sure play them all. Have said this before but if we were bringing in players this board wanted to bring in we'd be playing a team of 15 forwards. Paul Donaghy, McElhom, Canavan, Canavan, Cush, Jordan, McCullagh, McCurry, McGarrity, Fullerton, Noah Grimes. Probably missing another 10 of that list that I've seen people here want on the county team

Scathing column by Cahir O'Kane in the Irish News about Healy Park. He's not wrong it's a soulless kip anytime of the year and a pure marsh when there's a lick of rain. He does note that most Tyrone supporters don't like it.
Doesn't even have catchnets.
Hopefully county games and club finals will go back to Dungannon.

Very fond of Dungannon. We should have 4 home games next year. It would be a crying shame not to get at least 2 games back in O'Neill Park in 2026.
However we have to be realistic, its not the long term solution for Tyrone either. Match day capacity, limited covered stand, lack of seating & car parking facilities the obvious concerns

WeeDonns

Catch nets were to be included in the below investment, which didn't go ahead
Million pound pitch refurb for Healy Park

There has already been huge investment in Healy park, Tyrone GAA aren't going to backtrack now & move games to Dungannon because people think it's 'soulless'
There isn't the space in Dungannon for additional capacity, there's more chance of them investing further in Garvaghy to host smaller games :P
Ulster Club Championship games are exactly the type of fixture that should go to the likes of Dungannon, but the pitch is closed.

Regarding the drainage of Healy Park mentioned in another thread, the ground to the North is bog & the ground behind the terrace on the Killybrack road is also

I think, in fairness, every county ground with a few thousand in it is souless.

In an ideal world, it'd be great if every county had a small 5, 000 or 6,000 seater stadium with covered stands etc. and a training pitch beside it.

I can't remember the last time was a full house for a game in Omagh. Apparently players don't even like it. Dungannon could host most club games and county games albeit I take on board previous comments about lack of seating. Is the parking that bad? I don't think so. Used be huge crowds at senior county finals and county games.

I think we need to look at why the supporters arent attending the games rather than where the games are being played, the support in the past few years has been sub par. And it shows in the teams performances since the all ireland win in 21' the support has dropped massively and also the teams performance is the same.

I enjoy going to games to get out of house but some of the crowds have been shocking. Decent crowd came out for Mayo game last year in Omagh and was a poor performance unfortunately

Probably spoilt with success and too many games are live on TV. I was at All Ireland U20 final in Armagh and Tyrone hadn't that great a support. Is a time would have been thousands more for an All Ireland final just over the road.
