Would Kildare be big for a minor team?
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Dublin were just small for a minor team.

Think Dublin have a good number eligible next year.

too young. 8/9 of the 15 elligible for next year. one lad has 3 years left. you'll never win anything at minor with a team that young

Not much younger than our team last year, then. Sometimes you just run into a better team.

We only have 5 starters from last year. Tipp had very young team in 2011 & it didn't stop them from winning the All Ireland.

Onlooker would answer that. What he said back in 2011

9 of the starting 15 are under age again next as well as 4 of the subs that were introduced.

Indiana and Ross4life, Tipp had a young team in 2011, but they were mostly Under 17's.  The only Under 16 on the team in the All Ireland Final was Colin O'Riordan at right half back.  Colin was captain of the team beaten by Kerry in Killarney today when he was going for his 3rd Munster Minor medal.  Sadly, it was not to be.  Tipp had a young team today as well with 2 Under 16's starting, Danny Owens and Alan Tynan.   We should be stronger next year all going well.

The GAA has been rocked by a fresh racism controversy.

hoganstand.com has learned that Westmeath full back Israel Ilunga is appealing his sending off against Meath in last Saturday's Leinster MFC semi-final on the grounds that he was racially abused.

The Castletown-Finea/Coole/Whitehall clubman, who won an All-Ireland Vocational Schools medal with Cnoc Mhuire, Granard earlier this year, was allegedly taunted by an opponent before being issued with a straight red card for retaliation five minutes into the second half of the Lake County's 0-11 to 1-6 victory in Navan.

Westmeath will use video evidence to support their case and have Ilunga cleared to play in next Sunday's Leinster final against Kildare when their appeal is heard by the Leinster Council tomorrow night. The contents of Carlow referee John Hickey's report will also be studied.

The incident at Pairc Tailteann sparked a brawl involving several players and some unpleasant exchanges between mentors along the sideline.

Westmeath manager Tommy Carr, who is already resigned to being without injured midfielder Theo Watts and forward Jeremiah Scully for the Croke Park decider, was delighted with how his team responded to the flashpoint.

"Their response shows how genuine these lads were. It's how you react to setbacks - they reacted magnificently," the former Dublin captain and manager said.

Despite being a growing problem in the GAA, a motion submitted by Wexford dual star Lee Chin's club to have racial abuse tackled was ruled out of order for this year's annual Congress.

Does racism cancel out dangerous play? Regardless of what caused it surely the only thing that should change is that the other player is banned too.

Does not work, I like the TG4 idea promoting Irish language and culture, but their website and trying to navigate it just sucks, and that is not just based on my latest attempt to watch GAA on it.

You let part 1 play and skip to the last minute, it then rolls into part2, do the same here and it rolls into part 3 where the minor games are right at the start.

Thanks. Good luck on Saturday. For what its worth I think you are a lot better than Louth. Not sure of mental state of players though.
