Must do better will be Armagh's motto in the league next year. Donegal should get promoted Armagh should be in the running for the other promotion spot.

Kieran Gavin had a nasty accident in work last week and was a big loss, hope there's no lasting damage and he makes a quick recovery.

Very nasty indeed. He will be ok for final though and hopefully can lift the Div 2 Cup to add to last years impressive haul of captaining O'Byrne Cup, Sigerson Cup and Westmeath Senior Championship wins.

Good to hear, presume he doesn't need surgery so, a relief for everyone.

We're developing your future manager. I'm sure we'll get a warm welcome up in Crossmaglen next year. Even for Billy.

Westmeath team V Derry:

        Connaughton
McCallon, Gaffey, Maguire
  Harte, Sharry, J Dolan
         Duffy, Heslin,
Egan. C McCormack, Martin
Coroon, C Curley, Glennon

Gavin and Dessie not down to start, if they are fit I'd have both in. Rest of the team as expected.

Maguire has to start on Eoin Bradley, did a great job when he was switched onto him the last day.

Edit: Just beat me to it shark, will Kieran be on the bench?

I presume he will be. He played the full 60 minutes club championship on Sunday.  He was carrying an injury in to that game though, unrelated to his work accident. That may be why he isn't being risked.

Croí na hÉireann

Ah if that's the case then I'd agree with not risking him.

I'm assuming Westmeath have a good few changes from Celtic Park game recently. Think this may be a potential banana skin for Derry. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong tho. The No 6 for Westmeath the last day out looked a fine player. If they bring in a few more like him should strengthen their team.

10 changes in personnel from the last day out. 13 of the team picked that lined out in majority of league games. Regular full back and captain Kieran Gavin is injured and wing back Micheál Curley left the panel. Should be a much better contest than in Celtic Park, that's for sure.

Captain Obvious

Well done to Derry two from two for the Ulster sides can Tyrone make it three?

Jinxy

Dessie might not have the legs anymore, but he has the brain.
Some excellent scores kicked by both sides.
Well done to Derry on their win.
If you were any use you'd be playing.
