Tonight a Belfast Council Committee will discuss the issue of continuing to fly the English flag 365 days a year, or amending the policy to restrict its fluttering to a few days per annum, in line with Public Buildings in the real UK.

A baying mob of loyalists will assemble outside the City Hall in an attempt to intimidate the majority of councillors (ie SF,SDLP and Alliance) who favour the change and have sufficient voting power to win, Unionists (so stridently critical of intimidation from republicans) will secretly welcome this. and our new Police Service will "monitor the situation" ::)

Two for one night outside city hall for Loyalists. Defend the crown and abuse eastern Europeans over in the continental market! ;)

The butcher's apron to flutter over the dome of delight only on designated days... Yep, Robbo right, he knows nationalist thinking better than nationalists. Bitter sweet night for the protesting scumbags, another chinless wonder of german extraction on the way for them to pledge undying loyalty to, but by the time the blue-blooded mite pops its most devoted of sycophants won't be able to doff their caps to the city hall flagpole 365 days a year... Awwwwwww

And it has all kicked off outside with rioters. The council meeting had to be suspended for the safety of those in the City Hall.

Odd that you would bring up the topic of racism after yesterday's GAA match.

Why is it odd? The GAA has very publicly taken a stance that it will not be tolerated, its a pity the same couldnt be said for the leaders of the Unionist community. Your comment is one of the worst examples of whataboutery I have came across here, and that is saying something.

Watching the 9 o clock news there and its unbelievable at how backward the people are up there in the north! Such a big rigmarole and panic about flying a flag! Them wans protesting/rioting shud be just keeping their heads down and saying nothing for as long as they can - when the english taxpayers will have decided to finally stop bailing out the 6 counties who will these gobshites go to for money then? Will they still be waving union jacks?

Fair enough.  I guess the point I was trying to make was that it's not the case that unionists / loyalists hold the monopoly on being racist arseholes.

Ah now here...I think if reaction to Martin McGuinness' candidature in the Presidential election proved anything, it's that the south has absolutely nothing to learn about living in the past

Reports that St Matthews Church in East Belfast is being attacked by some proud unionist sons of ulster.

There is a number of GAA Boarders that believe us nationalists in the occupied six should be keeping our head down, tipping our hat to the british and continue to let them march all over us.
