Half-time now.
Dr Crokes 0-11, Castlehaven 0-4.
Crokes look a very tidy outfit.
Not up against much though.
Castlehaven offer very little going forward.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Gold

0-17 to 0-7 with 10mins to go. Turn it over TG4 and put Cross game on--i'd rather watch Clarke than Gooch at the minute.

Croke could've scored a few goals too--some score to put up so far

18 points now

You Ulster boys are some craic, did you enjoy the Jamie show ? Gooch might not have set the world alight today but his distribution and calmness is always a delight to behold. Jamie is a massive talent but has a lot of football ahead of him hopefully to prove his true worth.

Handy one for the Crokes but they are a serious team.
Disappointing to see the Corkies using the Anglicised name of their village on their jerseys  :(

You Ulster boys are some craic, did you enjoy the Jamie show ? Gooch might not have set the world alight today but his distribution and calmness is always a delight to behold. Jamie is a massive talent but has a lot of football ahead of him hopefully to prove his true worth.

I think manys a footballer in Ireland could have had similar distribution and calmness in a game that was played at that pace and lack of any sort of physicality or intensity.

If 30-40 off the ball hits by Castlehaven players alone is considered lacking any sort of physicality, a game full of physicality must be quite the spectacle.

Armaghtothebone

Any word on Brosnan... An absolute Rolls Royce of a player even now?

That's not what I take a physical game lads, anyone can pull and haul and act the maggot off the ball, to me it is the level of tenacity in the tackle and level of aggression brought to this. Under foot conditions didnt help but it was a slow pace and to me lacking in that sparkle for the level of game it was.

Yeah that Cooper lad has yet to prove he can mix it with the big boys.

So kicking someone in the ankle and putting your arm around their neck to swing them to the ground isn't aggressive?
That was just one of many aggressive tackles on Gooch that the referee (and cameraman) failed to spot.

NAG1

Your missing the point that was a clear foul, I am talking about aggression in the tackle within the laws of the game. Sadly lacking.

And would have come down on Cooper's shoulder with his knee more than likely had he not realised that the earlier kick to the ankle and the swing to the ground had had their desired effect.

Castlehaven were an absolute disgrace on Sunday.

Hope that Eamon Sweeney, sports writer with The Sunday Independent, who has written several misty-eyed articles about Castlehaven, deigns to write an article condemning their approach on Sunday.

Unfit, overweight, tactically naive, filthy.

If I were from Cork, I would have had a long look into my pint on Sunday evening.
