Quote from: general_lee on December 09, 2025, 03:47:17 PMIs that Dromintee team favourites for the St Paul's tournament? Surely the best minor side to come out of Armagh since the Harps in early 2000s?
No idea what the standard is like in Ulster but that is a superb Dromintee team- won Armagh without breaking sweat and were missing 2 or 3 starters in the final and by all accounts the standard in Armagh was fairly good this year.

Dromintee beat Ardboe fairly handily a couple of weeks ago and I think Ardboe were expected to be strong.
That Ardboe team had 3 starters for the senior team in first round of championship to give people an idea of how good the Ardboe team is. Think it's the best minor team I've seen in Tyrone bar maybe the Errigal team with Canavan

So yeah Dromintee must be good
Same group won the u16 Ulster I think. Beat a good Clann Eirean team in the Armagh final handily enough missing I think 3 starters.

Not sure if D O'Rourke is fully fit I think he came off the bench vs Ardboe. He'll be starting for Armagh in the future.

Been playing away for the Abbey in the MacRory as far as I know.
Ahh good news!

Considering how Ardboe are going at Senior level - maybe not that big a feat having 3 Minors starting on their Seniors. Donaghmores 3 in a row winning minor team would be the pick of the Minor teams in Tyrone football over the past decade.
Forgot about them 🤦♂️. Yeah agreed

Have they been able to retain many of the players, get them integrated into senior football? I believe they had a thirds team at one stage?

Oldest of them would be Ronan Cassidy who would be 22 in 2026. They have brought through a good lot of them. Probably lacking a bit of experience in the side above this group. They weren't far off Loughmacrory in the Quarter Final and that was them playing without Ben Hughes and Conor O'Neill - two big players on the 3 in a row team and both with 2 All Ireland U20 medals.
