Always interesting.  Is this just for the Ulster Championship does anyone know or can performances in the qualifiers count?

For losing two games and being shut down in the second half of the last one?

Def 3 - Mark McHugh

For 6 - Conor McManus

That was very hard to pick, its a long time since the province had as few individually brilliant players. Bar Jamie Clarke and McFadden there are very few standout forward performers this year.

You could pick holes in any of those highlighted. Considerin the standard elsewhere Jamie Clarke would still be in the top 6 forward performers in Ulster this year. A game and a half is probably good enough to gain selection this year such is the dearth of individual talent.

Shocked no one has mentioned Ryan bradley in their team yet would of thought he was nailed on for one of these

Yes I put Bradley in my team.

chocoholic

Had him in and took him out again for Joe McMahon in midfield. But you're right. Should have left him in there. Was torn between putting Mick McCann in or not also. Thats why I was asking if the qualifiers counted because Mick had a serious game v Galway and Tipp but I assumed that the Irish News would be basing the team on the ulster championship (and McMahon I thought would be the token Tyrone man)

Was the Antrim GAA account, don't know who it is specifically.

I didn't get the paper but saw it was rumbling on yesterday on twitter. I know that Antrim twitter account said something like Archer mustn't have been to too many games this year going by his selections. What did Archer say?

It is unlikely that Archer wrote the headline, but he certainly made a bigger twit of himself with the article. So many holes in all his points and what appeared to be a veiled threat in the last paragraph. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Archer is a laughing stock in our part of the world after his portaial of last years league final in Tyrone. It was the most unprofessional piece of journalism ever and he is very lucky a proud club didnt make more of it! There has been no word from him since on any of the more serious offences in Tyrone football. His knowledge of the game appears to be very very poor. He has a duty as a journalist to give fair an unbiased views of a match or events and he is not capable of doing so. It is just his viewpoint rather than factual information.
