Captain Scarlet

Diaz was very poor right before he went off. Made a mess of sone good moves but overall what a game.

Head the ball in goals making saves then coming flying out really added to it all!

The best thing is Bayern wont shut up shop at home so it's going to be another cracker.

them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Why did I decide to watch Arsenal instead of Madrid/Bayern? Horrible decision.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

PSG should have won that game by 5 or 6 nil and thought they should have had those 2 penalties.

Is a tackle from behind not a foul anymore, if you get the ball?  I cant keep up.  The push was a clear penalty.  What is the point of VAR.  Konate roasted

PSG should have had at least another 2.  I'd say they might rue that, but I doubt it.

On last night's evidence hard to see how Liverpool turn this around.

But PSG have left the door open in missing enough to win several games. So if Liverpool can somehow score early, get the crowd going which then energises the team, could be in for a game. But that's a good Paris team, they will get more chances. Taking them or not may decide the tie.

I don't think there's any chance.

PSG gave Liverpool a similar going over last year, although thanks to Allison and a Donnaruma error, Liverpool snuck a very undeserved win. Liverpool were excellent in the second leg though, and unlucky on the night not to draw or even win the game and thus, the tie.

Different team this year though. Given Liverpool's malfunctioning system and the poor form of the players trying to succeed in it, I don't see how they can overturn it. PSG are the most press-resistant team I've ever seen, so I don't think Liverpool can get hold of enough possession to create enough chances to both overturn the existing lead and whatever goals PSG will score at Anfield.

Throw in as well that the complete lack of faith in the team at the moment is bound to affect the atmosphere. The fans created a cauldron in that 2019 semi against Barca, because even though Liverpool were 0-3 down from the first leg, they had actually played very well at the Nou Camp and everyone knew they were a top class team.

They're miles off that at the moment.

The only thing the two ties have in common is the Dembele missed chances that could have put it out of reach, but I don't think they are going to be in any way relevant to the overall result this time.

Unfortunately no way they'll get back into the tie. In fact, I would fully expect another 2 or three goal victory to PSG. Normally with Liverpool you could at least hope for a big night, especially in Europe, where they've beaten teams better than them. But I just can't see that team doing that.
I expect PSG to get an early goal to settle the nerves and then kill the game.

Villa just ok tonight. Bologna not a bad side at all and had plenty of chances. The lad Rowe is a real handful and if he played like that in the PL they'd rave about him.

Watkins put some shift in. Physical holding it up, running the channels. More of what you would want from him as there has been little of that this season.

Some own goal by the Porto lad tonight ;D

Captain Obvious

A famous European night in Anfield incoming?

It's taken Barcelona just 23 minutes to level the tie on AGG.
