Mourne Red

This is fantastic!! Barcas play is a breath of fresh air. Attacking, energetic, fearlessness brilliant from Hansi Flick

This Yamal kid looks like he'll be special anyway. Unreal.

Quote from: Look-Up! on April 30, 2025, 10:21:25 AMNext goal crucial. Arsenal's strength is their defence. They have plenty pace out wide but hopeless at breaking down teams. So an early goal for them, maybe a set piece, and then try catch PSG on counter. But if they find themselves 2 down in this tie, they won't score if they were there for the week and probably concede a few more.

To win the match Arsenal still have to score 2 goals (or more).. Yes there are other permutations and so on.
So I don't always buy the idea that if they score first the tie is over, Arsenal are still in the same position that they'll need 2 goals or more to win the tie.

Despite what others say, and I'm only going with the first half I seen, Arsenal were creating and just didn't get the breakthrough.

PSG have been the (eventually) breakout team of the champions league, after promising so much they might actually deliver
A goal would do it. Sit back and look to counter or wait for penalties.

Not to over exaggerate but the Kids incredible is he on a Messi like trajectory at the moment? Or is that too much to say at this point.

Let's hope he stays injury free.

well if you want to look at them both at 17 then you'd say Yamal is ahead. Obviously a million miles to go but it isn't a silly comparison at all. Injuries a big thing is right.

They awarded him with a special jersey tonight to mark his 100th appearance.  How  do you play 100 times at 17 years old. Absolutely insane.

And at that level of the game! Starting in CL semis and already having a major international tournament winners medal.

Even Messi was nearly 21 by the time he played 100 games. I don't want to get too excited about the kid as I remember the hype around Bojan Krkic and Ansu Fati but he looks different league.

tiempo

Honest to god how is he that good, is there/has there been a GAA equivalent?

Dream first half for Man United in Spain in the 1st leg of the Europa league semi final. Athletic Bilbao 0  Man United 3.

Going well for Tottenham in the other semi final leading 2-0

3-0 Man United won and Tottenham 3-1
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
