Quote from: Captain Obvious on May 22, 2024, 07:14:15 PMIf in it Liverpool would be favourites for tonight's Europa league final yet you can get odds of 7/2 for Atalanta who beat Liverpool 3-0 in Anfield. A bit of value in those odds?

Liverpool were never favourites while Leverkusen were still in the competition.

Liverpool was favourites. Bayern Leverkusen them became favorurites once Liverpool was eliminated by Atalanta.

Good start for Atalanta rewarded with a 1-0 lead.  2-0 now a good finish,  Leverkusen  unbeaten run in danger now.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Sure they don't start til 90 min plus!

Captain Obvious

That first half proves those pre-match Atalanta odds was more than decent.  Showing why they beat Liverpool 3-0 in Anfield tonight.

Yeah can't write them off just yet, they've come back so many times this season.
NEUTRAL
ALSO NOT FROM LAOIS!

Dream final for Lookman. that strike the best of the 3.

Great to see an excellent match that doesn't involve any Premier league muck.  Would love to see the Italian league become the force it once was again

A humbling night for Bayer & Alonso. Atalanta so much more energy and aggression- and threat up front.

Rebel84

Atalanta would give Madrid a better game than what they'll get from Dortmund.

Captain Obvious

Ademola Lookman scored just four times in near 50 appearances for Everton and he was unused sub in the win against Liverpool in Anfield.

Decent game, the Aviva looked well. Deserved win for Atlanta.
Didn't Lookman play for Everton previously ?

Blowitupref

First trophy for Atalanta since the Coppa Italia in the 1963 and did it in style against a side on 51 game unbeaten run.

Capt Pat

I wonder what the odds were for a 3-0 win for Atalanta tonight.

Great experience. Well organised. Garda everywhere. Got from a pub in Baggot Street to our seats in about 25 minutes. Ticketing system was excellent. Barcode on your mobile ticket only came up that day. At 5 you were told to activate your Bluetooth and location on your phone. The had three checks for your ticket, one a cursory look at the screen. The second seemed like a little Bluetooth reader that knew you had an actual ticket. Next was scanning the barcode for you to get in at the ground. Brilliant atmosphere. Both sets of fans were great.

Had a spell at Fulham too fairly recently where he did well enough.

Those were three of the best finishes you could ever see. Wonder how much that single game will have inflated his value?

Would he count as homegrown for a Premier League club even though he declared for Nigeria at senior level?
