Even if the law is changed about gun ownership, if somebody is set on doing what that madman did then they're going to find a way to get a gun and ammo.

Rape is illegal but people still go out and do it. Do we legalise rape?

They already have that analogy covered by making murder by firearm illegal.

the NRA has always had a spilt agenda, this right to bear arms always has been alot of crap. it came about when the west was actually the wild west and you did actually need a gun. with the wild west tamed, in theory there was no need for people to have arms, but it dawned pretty quickly there`s money to be made in the old gun racket. the amount of money all these gun manufacturers would lose would run into billions if guns were banned. Europe was always seen as civilized  and not wild, people had no need for a gun and that is the culture here. In America they are stuck in a timewarp and reality checks like this shooting still will not wake them up. A outright ban on all guns is the only way forward but with so many legal guns out there such a task is impossible. The excuse of needing a gun to protect your property doesn't wash any more. there are some nutter's in America though, Canada has the same gun laws i believe but not every tom dick and harry feels the need to own a gun foreby having a collection of them.

It's step by step. Nobody has need for an assault rifle except for police or army personnel. The right to defend's one self argument can be upheld with the provision of hunting rifles or small non-automatic handguns. Provide body armour and the equipment to protect against these attacks and simultaneously crack down on the availability of heavy weaponry.

Seems pretty f**king simple. You have a problem with gun crime. Limit the availability of guns to tom, dick and harry.

When was murder legalised?

EC Unique

A complete nut job can do this and gun laws do not need changed?

QuotePolice said the suspect had acted with "calculation and deliberation", adding that he had been stockpiling ammunition for months.

Over the course of eight weeks he bought 6,300 rounds of ammunition: 3,000 for a .233 semi-automatic AR-15 rifle, 3,000 for two .22 Glocks and 300 cartridges for a pump-action shotgun.

Mr Holmes bought the four weapons legally.

Wise up America!

When was murder legalised?

When the death penalty was reintroduced.
Yes to show murder is wrong let's murder the murderer.

If you wanted to do the same down in cork explain to me how you'd get the semi automatics and hand guns. At best you might get a rifle and although you would kill I don't think you'd be able to do the scale of damage this evil sc**bag did. There is a simple relationship between access to guns and this type of shooting. Yank politicians are too cowardly to address it.

He looked like the son of Tom Bailey from the Thompson Twins.

We wanted to look like the Joker maybe he should have dyed his hair green instead of orange?

Apparently someone is suing WB and the cinema for the shooting. WTF?!?

Permit requests and background checks for gun purchases rose 43% this week in Colorado compared to last week.

f**k it, I guess if it's going this way let's just all get guns for a little parity.
