Wrong lake ;)

Colmcille threw a championship away with their post-quarter-final celebrations against what was always a very ordinary Killoe team.

I don't know if the celebration can be blamed, but there was certainly a lack of application/focus after beating Mullinalaghta.

The cavalcade from the Red Cow to the Cross after a quarter-final(!) seemed to indicate too much was being taken for granted.

I guess, but any decent management should be able to 'dislocate' expectations from reality and prepare accordingly.

Cian Mackey transferring to Mullinalaghta. He's living there now. He should be a good addition.

I see that feline has officially escaped its confines now  ;)

Although the bush telegraph had it for the last few weeks long before the issue was confirmed.

So it all kicks off today:

Group 2:

Killoe v Clonguish, Friday, 8pm, Monaduff.

Group 3:

Longford Slashers v Fr Manning Gaels, Saturday, 7pm, Newtownforbes.

Group 4:

Dromard v Granard, Saturday, 7pm, Abbeylara.

Group 1:

Colmcille v Mullinalaghta, Sunday, 6.30pm, Dromard.

Would favour Killoe, Slashers, Granard and Colmcille for those matches.

Odds:

Paddy Power (https://www.paddypower.com/gaelic-games/longford-club-football?tab=outrights)

Mullinalaghta Evens
Killoe 7/2
Longford Slashers 7/1
Abbeylara 15/2
Dromard 8/1
Colmcille 9/1
Clonguish 10/1
Mostrim 28/1
Fr Manning Gaels 40/1
Carrickedmond 50/1

Paddy didn't get the memo about unrelegation, clearly.

Ladbrokes (https://sports.ladbrokes.com/competitions/gaa/gaelic-football/club-football)

Mullinalaghta 6/5
Killoe 3/1
Abbeylara 11/2
Longford Slashers 7/1
Dromard 8/1
Clonguish 10/1
Colmcille 10/1
Mostrim 33/1
Fr Manning Gaels 40/1
Carrickedmond 50/1
Granard 50/1

BoyleSports (https://www.boylesports.com/betting/sports-a---z/gaa---football/club-football/longford-sfc-2020/?navigationid=24.1,86196.1,86603.1,5117396.1)

Mullinalaghta 4/7
Killoe 7/2
Abbeylara 9/1
Longford Slashers 9/1
Clonguish 12/1
Dromard 12/1
Colmcille 16/1
Carrickedmond 100/1
Fr Manning Gaels 100/1
Mostrim 100/1

Abbey and particularly Colmcille value bets there.

Kathy Bates in Misery.

(To be fair, if you'd asked me beforehand, I'd have been happy with that result but losing an eight-point lead is not satisfactory.)
