In fact one would need to know how much - length wise - the landmower cut, this variable would be vital in giving and accurate answer.

I heard Peter McKenna mentioning on Morning Ireland the other morning that it was an eight mile walk. It seemed an awful lot, but it turns out he's about right.

The dimensions of the pitch are given as 144.5 x 88 metres. There's about another 3 metres of grass beyond the pitch lines all around, so say 147.5 x 91 metres. Let's say the mower is a metre wide – looks about right from the picture above.

So the width of 91 metres has to be traversed 148 times. That's a walk of 13.5 Km or 8.4 miles – nearly as much as I do in a season of running behind the sofa whenever Martin Carney comes on.

Is it jai alai - the crack where the player has a basket on his arm.  I saw it in florida once when i was at a casino.  Didnt understand it but the ball was travelling quick.
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

It's not played on a field.
