I honestly hope he's never talked about again. I'm struggling to see what's sad though, feigning cancer for personal profit is sick, sad I'll use for those that have family friends who have lost their lives through this horrible illness.

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Of course. But what's sad is that all Ireland wins are some of peoples treasured memories. Those memories for Kilkenny people and many others who saw him play are forever tarnished. Obviously this pales in comparison to those he ripped off and those who suffered from what he's done.

Just imagine your childhood hero turns out to be an awful human. All the memories and pictures adorning walls in houses and pubs, of them holding Liam or Sam might have to come down. That's what's sad about it all.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Yeah, there are no winners in this.

What he done was brutal. No doubt.

But there are flaws to every charcter but he went beyond everything. When he was in, it must have been that he couldn't stop.

There's a bit of Christainity (if that's the correct word these days) in us and I find it sad in a way too.

His downfall has been swift. But it's old news now and people move on.

When your family has suffered with this horrible illness and you actually watch them to their final moment in pain, he's used that, that anguish family members go through as an advantage to gain wealth!

Nah he's a scum bag and I hope he gets his karma big time

He won't be talked about again and if he ever is, it'll be negatively and in relation to this

There will be an asterisk (at best!) beside any and all his other achievements

It's sad for his victims, for cancer sufferers and their families, for his wider family, for Kilkenny people, for hurling people, for the GAA

TBH, I'm struggling to see what's not sad about the whole god forsaken saga

When he gets out of prison, what will he have? His name is ruined. Nobody cares about the 5 all Irelands.

Just finished the  second part.

Friggin hell. What  was the problem? His business failing, his high  maintenance lifestyle?

The iPhone charger thing was  funny if it wasn't so serious.  Did he really think he'd  get away with that?  My God.

Mad to think what life  will be like for him  when released. He's ostracised himself from  his own people , and from everyone who  worshipped him.

Depressing stuff for everyone concerned. Even DJ himself.
