Lad's you're getting carried away. This is a schools competition not  a county competition. What is the point of saying St Micks have Tyrone players or St Mary's have Kildare players? Are you trying to imply that their credentials as champions are somehow sullied? The alliegence is school attendance not county of origin, there are other schools in the county and indeed in the same town often.

The only issue is if the players come from the school catchment areas, and if that crosses a county boarder then so be it. For instance St Colman's sits on the Down/Armagh border. Would you insist that the school only plays boys from one of those counties? Does it matter that the team is a mix of Down & Armagh so long as the players all come from the catchment?

If St Mary's win it will be an Victory for St Mary's school alone and not for Edenderry or Offaly (as there are other schools in both). Likewise can be said for St Micks.

what the hell are u on about, nobody has suggested otherwise. The point at the top of the thread of the effect this final would have on future fermanagh and offaly success, which as others have answered : very little! the lads have just made it clear that the offaly team also rely on meath/ kildare players etc

never is the answer as we have had plenty of MacRory Cups at St Micks but it hasnt even turned in to an Ulster win yet and hopefully it will be on as it should be a belter of a game

Would the team that nearly got to an AI final not have had strong contingents from successful st michaels teams?

3 tyrone men on a panel, and not team, would surely mean the lions share would be from fermanagh?

None of these things guarantee success at all but they can only help.

certainly had indeed, Brewster, Sherry, McDermott, Raymie Johnston, Liam McBarron, McCluskey, Bradley, not sure if Eamon Maguire, Marty McGrath, Stephen Maguire, Mark Little them lads were at St Micks but alot of other things take over in life after you finish your A-Levels... especially when you are  from a county like Fermanagh.  :-\

10 mins left and cookstown stuffing them 2-15 to 7 points, both goals looked to be points that dropped short, nightmare for the young keeper

Only saw the first goal. Not a huge pile the 'keeper could have done.

Ur right about that, it was more the second goal that he let slip through his hands. Hard to know if the cookstown guy meant it for the first goal, it was good though. Wasn't the keeper's fault that they lost, 2-18 to 7 points final score

st.mick goal keeper is what i would call a bruiser  ;D

Blowitupref

This game as good as over after 18mins 1-6 0-0
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Jinxy

Some pass in with the outside of the boot for the goal.
Great stuff.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Anyone know how St Mick's are getting away with Richie Kavanagh in goals, sure he's bound to be overage!

St. Mary's playing great football but they are getting plenty of men back when Micheals attack. Still that goal was wondrous and Mary's look like a real quality side so it's hard to see a way back for St. Micheals.
