Galway City pubs

Headed to the Old Country tonight. Will be staying on the square in Galway City Sunday and Monday and looking for a quiet pub to pass the time! Any suggestions?

The only one I can think of is Naughtons off shop street but that information is years old.

If its a quiet pub you're looking for(no music) maybe Freeneys or Murphys. These are opposite each other on shop street...

As you are already staying on Eyre Square I would recommend O'Connells.
It is on Eyre Square also and is one of my favourites in the city.
It has a nice outside area at the back also.
Would highly recommend it
