Strangely Mayo could have lost today and still finished fourth and made the semis as it turned out. And even if they had won they'd have still only finished fourth.

Who were the favourites to get demoted this year, the medja usually predicts Mayo, 1996 and still counting  ;D

If this came from gaa.ie it could very well be wrong. After Mayo beat Dublin, I checked out the site and it had the Dubs awarded Mayo's points and scores. A day later it was corrected.

Table came from RTE - draw only showing in points element

A drop to Division two for Armagh not the worst place to play your football.

Mayo were 4th favourites to win the league before it started. The bookies are never far away. I would say the bookies would have the had the favourites listed as:

Kerry
Dublin
Cork
Mayo
Donegal
Down
Armagh
Laois

Only the positions of Dublin and Down come as a slight surprise.

They should throw in the dublin vs galway hurling play off make it a treble header

western exile

Dublin are really fifth on the head to head with Donegal.

So the top 5 this year are the same as last year, only in a different order.

It ll be like a Railway Cup match.

They should give the cup to the team that finishes top of the league. No point having more games if there is no interest and its not making money.
