To be fair PG1 were good on Friday too ITG. Wide open this year, Cargin worthy favourites but its as open as its been for a good few years imo.

As impressive as those wins are the teams on the receiving end of those hammerings must be struggling.

Big win for st brigids too. Most games went as you would have expected bar ahoghill game.

You would assume Glenravel are missing the two Hynds badly
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Stunned by that Dunloy vs St John's result. 22 points in it.  What happened?

St John's missing bohill and hand. Dunloy missing a few too. Dunloy won 2 minor A titles in 3 years competed in u21 finals, they've alot of good footballers. Pace strength and kicked 9x 2 pointers today. Won't be taking randalstown for granted in the next game either.

What's it got to do with Hannon transport?

If Dunloy are putting football on an equal footing as hurling - allegedly for the first time ever - then they deserve to be considered as very serious contenders for the McNamee Cup.

Id heard that previously, but 22 point victory over St Johns puts all clubs on alert, even if Johnnies had a few missing. Some serious ballers in their midst.

Who manages Dunloy footballers and hurlers now?

Anthony mcquillan still with the football, just adds a new voice every year to freshen it up.
Shane Elliott and Liam Richmond with the hurlers

Maybe a daft question here fellas but is the team named at first at home for the championship group stages?

To be fair we played to our strengths and deserved to win by the score line. They have a large panel available for the championship and have added in quite a few of last years minor teams to the panel.

They have benefited from playing Division 1 football and also Division 3 hurling for the second side bringing them up to the expected physical levels.

Id expect the next game against Tir Na nOg to be very tight.

Portglenone would have to be favourites on the back of that display coupled with the hiring of all ireland winning coach Gilligan, even if he is on more than twice what you are paying Emmett Bradley. Worth it for a maiden win.

The weekend snr championship results reinforce the need for a 4 tier championship.

This reinforces the need for reserve sides to be integrated into the main league structure, not for individual clubs but for the health of football in the county.
