Are the fixtures you refer to the ones that have been on county site for about 6 weeks? Those which club players request early to be able to plan around. And the county football fixture which was set about a week or less ago?

I'm in favour of the season being well
planned. On the basis Antrim probably had little say in the throw in time of the county game (for broadcasting) then moving the club games by e.g. 2 hours would appear reasonable. I can appreciate that won't be a universal view.

Clubs with agreement with each other can rearrange the time or in some cases the day over that weekend if they are both happy to do so.. fixtures are in place but, in my experience, have been moved plenty times
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Antrim would have no say in that fixture being set.
You're right though they could shift all club senior games to 12pm in the week of the fixture. And then await the complaints for christenings, communions, travel issues, reconfirm referee availability, pitch availability due to go games and other fixtures........... or stick to what was set 6-8 weeks ago and let clubs arrange between themselves should it suit.

Defensively, Antrim are a shambles. Westmeath cutting them to ribbons. On the ball, they're not too bad but off it, they're miles away from what's needed. Simple things like tracking players, making tackles, winning 50 50s. They look every bit of one of the eight worst teams in Ireland.

Wasn't a game Antrim were expected to win but conceding 4-24 is surely alarming.

was at the game and it was brutal. 5/6 players not county standard plain and simple. also to many players that blow hot and cold, i would say we are into the final few weeks of Andys reign over Antrim.

It is beginning to feel like the end of McGinley's reign where everything just seemed to capitulate  :(

Yeah can't see him staying on any longer.

5/6 is being kind

Would ye whist

For one the keeper is not up to it, nice chap Mick by all accounts but not an intercounty keeper, would be better with McNabb in

Disagree Mick Byrne more than capable of playing county football. A few mistakes yesterday I've never seen him make. However after 3 years there is no clear system with this Antrim team is ridiculous.

Maybe get Paddy Hands Recruited from the masters to help things  ;D

Byrne a solid enough keeper, unfortunately Antrim could play with 3 keepers and still struggle to win games with that shambles of a defence in front of it.

Completely agree letting anyone kick 1:17 is outrageous, yes loughlin is a cracking player but he was toying with Antrim at stages. Complete shambles.

Going forward so many shots dropping short, then get torn apart on the counter.

Still should be getting out of group and progressing hopefully

The goals seemed to be a failure of one on one defending and basics , regardless of who is in the managerial seat that is a concern.

I wonder do the players have some sort of mental block on Westmeath away as that's a couple of dire results.
