The laverty cup final was on roughly the same time too? (which I didn't think Portglenone were in??)

They were more or less the same time - not sure if exactly.

Yeah they were both at 12pm, minor games are at 12pm on a Sunday all year in both codes so the semis and finals are the same. Not saying it has to be this way but that's they way they schedule them
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Cheers chap. Bit weird for the odd die hard that may have wanted to watch both but no biggie I suppose

But then again it is a biggie, why the hell are we doing this to ourselves and our games.

A minor final deserves to be an event, why not get on in Dunsilly under the lights make a deal of it.

Same with the hurling, seems they couldn't wait to get it over and done with.

Why not promote them and try and do something different with them than just throwing them on a random Sunday at a crap time of the day.

Killing the thing and no one to blame but ourselves.

St Brigids won All County U-14 on Friday night, and added a minor title on Sunday. Congratulations on that, shows the work that's going on there.

PG1 beat them in the under 16 final a few weeks back, and Casements added the Minor B title yesterday with a dozen under 16s playing. In between they won SW under 16 (Breslin Cup) and SW minor (Laverty Cup). Those dozen players who overlap have 4 medals to show for their years activity!

Toome a great venue for a game should be noted.

The new southwest powerhouse? Plenty talent coming through
And the senior team getting a taste of corrigan yesterday too it's all ramping up this week
Antrim GAA still no tickets out for buying as yet 6 days before a county final

is Kevin Parke part of the cartel?

Would ye whist

He's never too far away from them, saw him and one other famous member skulking about at Dunsilly last weekend trying to slip in for nothing with their grand leader Totes, all walked in without a  ticket scanned

Did Glenravel not win the Laverty Cup yesterday? Could have swore I seen it in the Saffron Gael this morning. But dont let that get in the way of blowing smoke up your own holes Bannside. T'wouldnt be like you!

In all seriousness, a huge week for you all in Portglenone - the biggest in your history. Lap it all up, the buzz will be fantastic and even better when you bring home the bacon.

Portglenone were in the Laverty shield.
The cup and shield were seperate competitions from the outset.

It's been mentioned a few times here but I havent really seen a definitive answer.  Are Dunloy relegated to Intermediate next year?

There's no point being stupid if I don't show it every so often!

Twas indeed the Laverty Shield, not the Cup. Congrats to Glenravel, always good to have something at the annual dinner.

Ach now I wouldn't begrudge the referees getting into games FOC. Where would be be without them!

Well, didn't like to turn it into a Derry Antrim thing lol but yes found it strange. Surely it be no major issue to have them as standalone, as a Twitter follower just thought it strange the updates coming at same time, surely the lads deserve their own bit of spotlight come a final

imtommygunn

You were doing well to get twitter updates on any of our games at the weekend  ;D   :-X

paddyjohn

I see an our PRO making a complete show of himself at the weekend going a bit of arguing with a few lads.

Get a grip ffs.
