Yes no doubt Jack Dowling should have been off not once but twice. Have seen the tackle at the end given more times than enough as a free however.

If Lavey did go down to 14 men in the first half it would have been game over 5 minutes into the second half. Paying big £ for a management team to muster up 7 points in a championship game without missing any clear cut chances. Not good reading

It was the number 10 who pulled down a Cargin player twice in the first half.  Very surprised he didn't get a Black.

But I'd say the ref  was just poor throughout, very slow to react to what was happening in front of him.

Heard one the Cargin sideline dish out an absolute mouthful of expletives, just in case anyone was of the opinion it's only St Brigid's who you couldn't listen to.

Certainly should have been 3 yellows for Brigids in 1st half for drag backs (rather than downs) , the 10 was I think subbed off at half time, in second the Cargin defender came through the ankles of the Brigids forward first (before shoulder) and should have been a yellow - I also thought the shoulder hit on the Brigids attacker running along the end line was shoulder to chest. Either way ref  didn't have a good game but I'm not sure either team did either..

For the final I did think Cargin, in the odd time Brigids screwed up their courage and got at them, found pace troubling - one of the downsides of Cargin having muscled up in recent years is that they can be exposed to that but teams would have to be brave to go for it and high risk if turned over, remains to be seen if pg1 will roll the dice.

Bring back club football

Enda Gormley (the mastermind behind the wattty grahams revolution according to Joe Broly) with St Brigids.

The same St Brigids with whom Brolly was once a distinguished volunteer.

Ironic.

I overheard Seamus Downey say to a fellow St Biddies man on Sunday leaving Dunsilly that he'd be sorting it out and the management would be roaded,I thought that didn't take long for the lavey brigade to stick their noses in,wts

Spike

I hope St Brigids have experience in dealing with egotists as they will find out like Lavey did that's its all about H and S and nothing to do with helping the club itself

Would ye whist

How convenient you just happened to hear that in passing, come on there is a lot of ill feeling towards St B's around the county, however remember the secret to a good lie is to make it believable. You might want to check with the LD friends & others on how to cook up a story as I believe that did quite a job in doing so to screw my poor neighbours Creggan in the run up to their Ulster appeal

If you don't believe it,that's your problem,as I said watch this space, and as for your neighbours and LD friends Im lost,on a different note, after an hr and a half drive to antrim town to see what was being billed as a humdinger, was flat and really only one team in it

Referee, I could have told you in advance that it would be a pointless journey.

It was always going to either be a cake walk for Cargin or else St Brigids trying to strangle the life out of it to keep the scoreline half respectable.

But same outcome regardless.

Winning a league final against Cargin's B team was a pointer to nothing.

League form generally a pointer to nothing.

Wasn't he the trainer or part of the backroom team this season?

Enda Gormley seemed to be the trainer that was brought in for this year. Maybe he wants the gig himself.

referee

St Brigids no 3 JF seemed to walk by the 2 Mc Guckins and have deep conversation with Gormley at ht,Gormley seemed to be the manager along the line
