If Lavey had shown the same aggression in the first 20 minutes that they did after the final whistle, they might have got somewhere

This hard man image doesn't suit St Brigid's at all. Hard to take them seriously when half of them have a posh Belfast accent. They'd be better focusing on the football, which they are pretty good at tbf. Theyve been in some amount of rows, at all levels, this year too...

Well you will be able to tell your grandkids that you watched Cargin reach their place in the Antrim Senior championship final for the 18th time......

Wee Barky

Brigids got what they deserved out of that game after their negativity, especially in the first half. Cargin looked to be the only team who tried to play football and work the ball for scores.

No score after 26 minutes, absolutely brutal. No programme and no announcement of the teams, would it be that hard to sort something out?
The ref was really poor. He missed so many frees (he wasn't just letting it go) and then very often gave the next free in the same phase of play which usually went the other way. This included the big moment- clear cut free in to Brigid's which he missed, and Cargin go down the pitch and score the winning goal - 4 point swing because the ref wasn't on it.
Overall just a really poor indicator of where Antrim football is at. Very few positives. Best player on the pitch was Tomás, and St Brigid's number four had a fine game.
No idea what happened after the final whistle, but all looked fairly embarrassing.

The Biddy lads couldn't throw a punch, just cheap shot verbals. Be some craic on the building site in the morning 😉

They got what they deserved - absolutely nothing. Back to Maghera, Lavey, St Paul & St Agnes they go.

Awful game of football, Cargin not hugely stretched and Brigids don't have the size to trouble that set up in a packed defence. although I'd say both teams played very conservatively. The miss by the ref of that foul (that led to a well taken breakaway goal) was absolutely brutal.

PG1 with a bit more size and good pace certainly have more than a punchers change

If you want to take on the champions show some ambition and intensity when you have a gale force wind behind you in the first half. For me StBrigids have neither the squad, as evidenced by their subs, or the belief to beat Cargin.
Fairly comfortable in the end tbh roll on the final
