That is a shocking result! The drop off from Aghagallon has been unbelievable

ck

Nothing shocking about it. Aghagallon have been on the slide for 2 years now under Pete McGrath.

Why the hate for Pete? Man is a legend?

Regardless of that the team clearly aren't playing for him.

Games like that I'd imagine part of the reason Cargin struggle in Ulster, the bar in Antrim is just too low until the last one or two games and the gap from their to Ulster to big to make up.

I dunno. Kilcoo tend to win down at a canter and when glen were at their best they were winning Derry handy enough. Don't think it's that.

A club A v B game youd like to think would be closer than that!

Duine Inteacht Eile

St Galls won Antrim championships a lot handier.

Also, Tyrone teams didn't do very well for a long time despite their championship being a battle.

Blaming Aghagallon for Cargin not being good enough to compete in Ulster is a bit mad. Everyone else's fault.

Quote from: Take the Mark on September 12, 2025, 10:27:58 AMNo chance. Sure you and the majority had Dunloy to beat Cargin the last day, Cargin are finished (around here) it seems.

No they aren't.  They will win the county title again and bow out first round of Ulster
Did you see any of the Errigal game last night? Tore Ardboe apart, that's Errigal who Cargin came up against in Ulster last year and got the back ripped out them on here for losing the game. The standard of the ulster club gets higher every year so whoever comes out of Antrim will be very much up against it. That's just the way it is until it's not.

Yes I did.  I'm going by the fact that the Cargin game last year was Errigals easiest victory of the whole tyrone, ulster and all Ireland series. Anyway,  as expected, Cargin up by a cricket score at half time against Aghagallon.

A procession to another county title.  Mounting an ulster challenge should really be their biggest motivation at this stage tbh.
Why should that be Cargins motivation when they just aren't good enough to compete with likes of Errigal, "gave them their easiest game last season". Just don't understand your point or why you bother stating it over and again.

Def not everyone else's fault, they are ahead of everyone else in Antrim and a long way off Ulster.

Just strikes me that they play fairly methodically and aren't tested at all in Antrim to change that and it gets shown up in Ulster. Galls at their pomp and Kilcoo a lot more direct in play.

Whoever wishes to beat Cargin in Antrim needs to go for it and turn it into a shootout, a managed game Cargin are better at. At the very least we might get some entertainment.

Very little to say about tonight's game for either side a rudderless Mary's easy pickings for a composed Cargin. The odd time Agahgallon did go quickly they got some joy but no were near enough.

It was always going to be a walk in the park for Cargin tonight.Aghagallon players had downed tools a long time ago under this managerial shambles. The big question is will these players be able to recover from what's been forced upon them and the long term damage that's been done.I hope the know betters are proud of themselves tonight

That certainly seemed evident about the downing of tools and if it is the case then shame on the players. Absolute shame. Abysmal and embarrassing. Some of, if not all of their best players were completely invisible. Thats through choice, the calibre they have just doesnt disappear. McGrath will get the blame, but anyone watching that should see it for what it was.

Ballymena and Randalstown in relegation play off. Both far superior to Aghaghallon

Sportacus

Whoever plays Cargin in the semifinal is in with a sniff now, that was far too easy and has done them no favours.

Cargin will beat whoever is in front of them.  Makes no odds.

The legend has faded with time.
