At least Andy is half way from Newry. We'll save something on the mileage.

8 point win is about right!
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

That is us through as third third place team isn't it? Leitrim go out?

Saffrongael

Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

imtommygunn

Tough game - they are decent these days. Still one we should hope to win though.

Spike

Welford are beatable if the squad believe

YoungSaff

Wexford probably the best we could have hoped for from the teams available

Surely this one is winnable for us? Where will it be at and when ? any ideas

Quote from: Spike on May 31, 2025, 07:55:01 AMYet again the topic is way over your head. If moneyglass could handpick the best B footballers from around the South West like St Galls did in belfast and ulster, they too could have won things.  Ridiculous comparison.

Whether by stubbornness or ignorance, the understanding of the importance of a strong schools system is wilfully disregarded but fixing the school system takes work and application, something baulked at by some clubs.

In simple terms we have the weakest schools system in ulster and are the weakest county in ulster despite having a large population.

It's an excellent initiative by St Mary's announced there.  Hopefully we will see it bear fruit in the near future.  Fixing the school system isn't the only problem to solve but it's a good start.

Nail on the head here Spike regarding the schools systems it is the backbone to development in young lads. The other stuff I will stay quiet about !! ;D

Wexford game winnable for either team - as good a draw as we could get I think too. I think the game is in Wexford as that's their reward for finishing second.

St Ronans and Lurgan should be a case study for how important football in the schools is. Football in Lurgan was out on it's feet 12/14 years ago until Ronan's started to push a proper programme with Aghagallon benefitting too.

What presentation was on at the weekend?

I see Paul Duffin got u20 player of the year, great player shows real leadership for a player of his age.

Hard to know where Antrim are at. A win over London, could still have been out on score difference as Leitrim beat Tipperary by 9 but Antrims score difference squeezes them through by 5. Away to Wexford now, should be winnable but the jury is very much out!

imtommygunn

Wexford are half decent so it's definitely a tough but winnable game. The jury won't be out after the game lol. We've beat London and Leitrim this year so would really need to step it up.
