Our lads ran Moneyglass good and close ! A good win for Lisburn against Naomh Eanna I heard a questionable free kick at the death won it !!

Any other surprises or scandal ??

Wasn't really a questionable free and it was a bit of justice after the ref marked up a 2 point free off the ground as a 1 point kick. He was shown the video at half time and accepted he got it wrong but didn't change the score.

I had heard about this also gladiator , I suppose that's justice , surely the ref can change it if he is shown video proof ? suppose awkward position but not really fair if Refs are missing calls like this especially in such a closely contested affair

He said he would speak to St endas about it (no idea why!) But he didn't  appear to and the score still didn't change. It was an honest mistake but the difference it could have made could  have been huge in terms of league standings come the end of the season,as D2 will be very competitive at top and bottom and every point will count.

Tir N Nog v Aldergrove in a so called Division 1 fixture yesterday. We will be taking our rightful place in Division 4 of the NFL next season and the way our league structures are now god knows when we will get out of it. This would of been a Division 2 game not that long ago and its not as if either team are any better now than they were say 10 years ago.

I get what you're saying but it's no fault of the clubs you name.  The organisation of the leagues is akin to that of Duffy's Circus.  Why they have made a direct link between league and championship when teams play league without county players is a joke.  When they get their head around that one and finally realise it's a nice idea but not practical, then Antrim leagues will be in a better place.

For now, it's not.  There will be tankings in Div 1, there has already been one notable tanking - Creggan v St Pauls (dont know the full story there if there is any?).

It's the same shitty circle that we're all going around and round.  I don't think it effects the county team though given Andy has any of the players at his disposal.  I think Div 3 is Antrim's level, just hasnt happened for one reason or another this year - I think discipline has cost them dearly and probably the main reason Antrim will be in Div 4 next year.

Cargin snobbery to the fore. Antrim have spent many a year in Div 4 with 12 team club division 1, I doubt that's what us holding us back. Maybe you will get your man at the county helm next year and all will be rosy in the Toome garden again.

Randalstown were in division one before it was extended were they not?

Alder grove wouldn't be in a twelve team division one but they are much better than they used to be.

I had looked forward to our game with all saints yesterday. But it was a damp squib. With all players available to both teams this would have been a great match-up one would expect. Ballymena hit badly with county representation of course.

It's such a pity the league is so far removed from any true representation of what clubs have to offer, and that we must wait until championship to take in the real stuff.

Would ye whist

The lack of discussion on here about relegation to Div 4 shows the real problem in this county, no one really gives a toss

Early doors in the season, however are the new rules highlighting gaps between teams, all teams conceding more but some stark score lines to date. Hopefully might accelerate a move to 4 divisions in a future season to improve quality.

What is there to discuss? Discipline and consistency has cost us but it isn't a shock, would we say we are really any better than the teams who did stay up?

What county club league set ups have their county players available all season?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

I'm not trying to compare us with other counties. Just expressing my opinion as a supporter, it's a shame I'll have to wait for the summer to see the best of both teams.

I'm sure many of us do. Fair play to the men selected putting the work this year and giving their best. It wasn't enough unfortunately. What would you like to see happen now? No doubt management will change next year. What must be done to improve things outside of this in the immediate term?
