Rors is "humbled" by getting an MBE, excellent recognition for his performances this year.

How come Darren Clarke only gets an OBE?  Has had a greater life journey, losing his wife etc.  Is it because he has an American accent?

The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (1917) is awarded mainly to civilians and service personnel for public service or other distinctions and has a military and a civil division. Ranks in the Order are Knight or Dame Grand Cross (GBE), Knight or Dame Commander (KBE or DBE), Commander (CBE), Officer (OBE) and Member (MBE).

I always thought MBE was better that OBE but looking at that not so sure.

Trout has resurfaced after having to delete his last disgraceful thread. I expect you are hoping this one will go to pot as well.

None are better than the other as they are all a joke.

CBE (Commander) > OBE (Officer) > MBE(Member).

Ruairi is "humbled" to receive this honour from the Queen.

As far as I know it is awarded to subjects of the British Empire by the head of the British Empire. Countries don't come into it. You could get one of you play your cards right  ;)

It isn't a foreign country, certainly not to Rory anyway. BBC NI will get some mileage out of this, we'll get more shots of Rorys passport.
