Of course it's not. Up close stuff like the newborn bear cubs in a den is often, through necessity, filmed in some kind of enclosure, whether temporary or not.

two of the best scenes alright the wolves and the bison was breathtaking, while that penguin stealing stones was some craic altogether

Regarding the wolves and the bison thing. How was Jeff the camera man so sure the wolves would just run on past? It would have been some TV moment if they had turned on him and the chopper scrambling down to save him!?!
