I'm pleasantly reminded of the quiet pint I had on my own in Conways (Parnell Sq.) after my eldest was born (as per 'The Snapper'). No turkey conversation though!

Good man GDA, two bits of advice:

Get him on the draught and in a routine asap. We got this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Contented-Little-Baby-Book/dp/0091912695/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_1 2 months in and found we were doing everything arseways. After a month of the new sheriff being in town she's a lot more contented and is going down much easier for the sleeps. The author is a bit regimented but it works, best of luck.
