I think the other one was a one-eyed goalkeeper but not 100% sure on that.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

This legend here...

Drink wise Mickey would be in the same league as Paddy O'Rourke...enjoys the odd pint....I'd doubt very much if he was ever drunk.

Paul McGrane?

To the best of my knowledge thats correct. I also believe that neither John and Tony Mac or Geezer did'nt either.

Geezer enjoys a pint

That's an exaggeration. Geezer takes a pint.
Does he force it down then?

I remember reading in the Anglo Celt in the last few years that something like 9 or 10 of the Mullahorn Senior team didn't drink...  Crazy stuff

In fairness you couldn't have them lads with drink on board, no one in the country would be safe.

Jesus I dunno about that Celt man. I don't think Dermot Sheridan drinks and Paul the Gunner very rarely but I think 8 or 9 might be an exaggeration.
In defense of the Cavan lads there are a good few who would very rarely drink such as Jelly, Mickey Lyng, Mickey Brennan, Ronan Flanagan, Dermot Sheridan. They aren't all as bad as is made out.
Nicholas Walsh never touched a drop either.

All such tee total players are to be commended for their clean living . The reality is that some of their decissions to abstain maybe as a result of alcohol abuse by close relatives .

INDIANA

Can safely say after the match between the 1993 derry team and our masters club team on the night before the all-ireland there aint many tee-totallers on that derry team!!

I find that people abstain from drink for one of more of these reasons:
1. Tightness
2. Control issues/seeing how drunk people behave puts them off
3. A close relative is an alcoholic
4. They're an alcoholic them self or felt that they were heading that way
5. Religious reasons
6. Because of their dedication to sport or some other craft
7. Dedication to family/never wanting their kids to see them drunk
