Put Her Dead

Word around the town is that there is a big out of a fallout in the Glen, Maghera camp with their manager telling the boys involved with the macrory panel at st pats that they can't play in the crucial play-off match because of ulster minor.

However some of the lads are defying the whip and playing anyway (or so im led to believe) and the glen banniesteoir has form for dropping players who defy the party whip so watch this space!

Rufus T Firefly

Well done to Kieran Loughran and the rest of the management and squad. Game was probably over at half time when we led by 2-07 to 0-01 although to be fair to Kilcoo they didn't give up and managed to reel us in a bit. We also probably made things more difficult for ourselves than it should have been, but great to get the victory.

Give and Go

The Eire Og Club in Carlow have been running a Leinster version for about ten years now. They are at the Final stage now with Celbridge Kildare playing host Club in the Final on Friday week. They have tried to have the tournament officially recognised by the provincial Coucil but they don't want it going ahead and restrict it to just 8 counties! So much for the grass roots..
Wouldnt it be nice if the four provinces ran it culminating in an All Ireland Final?
