20,000th goal mite be scored tonight.

5000th was scored in Dec 2001
15000th was scored in Dec 2006
20000th was scored in Dec 2011 ?

Pretty symmetrical

10,000 goals scored between dec 01 and dec 06 and only 5,000 scored in the same time frame between dec 06 and dec 11?

Think Mancini is starting to crack. Interview last night had shades of Keegan in 1996. Utd are poor by their own standards but if they win at Chelsea this weekend you would fancy then strongly to pip City.

For all the money City spent they had a poor bench v Everton last night with only Adam Johnson as an attacking option.

Race for 4th is hotting up nicely with Chelsea and Arsenal falling over each other and Liverpool hitting a bit of form.

Wolves look like they are gone at the other end of the table.

Didn't see Mancini much different in that interview last night than any other defeat. One thing i have noticed in recent weeks is they stopped playing the open expansive football that had pundits purring. At the start of the season majority of people said City had the strongest squad in the league, good first 11 no doubt but with all the money spent they are still behind United in squad depth.(United's ability to deal with a injury crisis proves my point)

All to play for in the top & bottom should be a good run-in Sky sports will be loving it.

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

There is no better than Fergie and Utd when it comes to squeeky bum time. The next 3 or 4 matches will tell all.

OM are you counting out Newcastle in the race for 4th? Liverpools form has been good but if you remove the cup matches thier league form will not get them 4th. 4 points in January I think!

Big weekend. Utd need to beat Spurs to keep pressure on city and Liverpool would need to beat arsenal to keep a real chance of 4th alive.

Should be interesting.  :)

Utd win 2-1 and other game a 1-1 draw.

Battle for 3rd and 4th heats up tonight with Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea all in action. Should be interesting.
