Can we have one thread that doesn't boil down to north/south point scoring
???
What's wrong with EG?
I certainly respect his classical debating skills and I like love the way he loses the rag from time to time.
Going by the topic title, that qualifies him for my #1 spot.
(Doesn't mean I always agree with him.)

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Only problem is he wasn't born in Britain, rather the UK.

Manys a one. Though those I like seem to be mainly North, East or South Brits.

You don't like yourself then Nally  ;)

IMO, you are correct.
But EG maintains that he is British and, since the thread had wandered off course, I decided to go along with him on this occasion.

You don't have to be born in Britain to be British, just the UK. But you have to be 'from Britain' to qualify for this thread!

You admire a lot of people there Eamonn! But Tony Blair? A man who led an illegal invasion of a country resulting in 1000's of deaths for oil. I'm afraid he cant trade that bad for the good he did in the north. Its like saying you admire Sadam for putting nice roads in Iraq but not the gasing of the kurds.
