I think it will do no harm to have a freetaker.

There have been no press articles this week about low self esteem in the camp which must also be positive.

If he was there against Dublin Galway may well have won. JC's radar was really off. That said, can you afford to 'carry' a freetaker, especially at centre forward?

If they had a scoring freetaker against Dublin they probably would have won.

A  freetaker who can score is worth more to a team than a forward who doesn't. Look at the Dublin match numbers  :

10 J Gantley (1-3), 11 C Donnellan, 12 E Ryan; 13 D Hayes, 14 J Canning (1-3, 0-2 frees),

Fair play to Galway they have turned it around after the Dublin defeat.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

That Clare backline is f**king shocking. Clare need to feed the ball to Conor McGrath more often

Some performance from Galway today, looks like they will hit the 40 point mark.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Much improved from the Tribesmen. Didn't think they'd win today to be fair but I think that will ease a few weary heads after the Dublin game.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

What did he do??

Joe was coming through with the ball and he appeared to deliberately strike Joe's head with the hurley as an attempted tackle. Straight red so the ref thought it was a strike. Joe had the ball in his hand so there was no question of playing the ball or anything. Canning got up quickly so it didn't look that bad.

The RTE panelists didn't even analyse it. Imagine the outrage on the football panel.

Jesus sounds like Canning was lucky so.

I take it back. They are analysing it now and rightly condemning it.
