Clare vs Down Sat June 25th, Ennis

I dont have the stats but my perception is that Down do OK at midfield on the opposing teams kick out...probably nearly breaking even. The problems are on our own kickout and this allows teams to get a run at Down. Given the greasy ball in Ennis and the amount of handling errors both teams made hoofing it Down the middle has a superficial appeal but really the likes of Clarke, Rooney, McKernan and Doyle should have been making runs into from the centre into space on the wings .  I dont think it is just down to the keeper ...
