He threw a few touches at Barton and just got abuse and personal stuff thrown back.

Not a fan of Barton by any stretch, but Hamann didn't come back at him too strongly on any of his claims from what I saw.

I think were he added #EnglandInternational to the end of a few tweets was enough to wind up Barton.

Barton tweeted 2 years ago that he was a better player than Lampard, Barry, and a few others, and should have been in the squad.

Not much of a comeback all the same to being accused of being unprofessional, broke, gambler, womaniser and drug taker 

Yeah true, but Hamann isn't the one having to make an apology for making up shite. Barton just looks a bigger fool from it.

Both of them don't exactly come out with any glowing praise. Barton took it down a level and is the only one of them that has had to issue a public apology to avoid any legal action.

The other guy did serious backtracking, Woodhouse even got a call from someone who knows the guy asking him to back off
