Did anyone see him on primetime last night, he was very funny, hilarious actually.  Pointed out that FF had over 40% of the vote when he left, brilliant stuff from the former future president.

Makes you realise how detached he seems to be from public opinion.  His greatest regret is that Bertie Bowl didn't happen...ffs, is he for real.  What about the neglect of hospitals, waiting times for apointments, sleeping on trolleys in corridors, the nature of how banks conducted their business while he was Taoiseach etc. etc. etc. .... but his greatest regret is Bertie Bowl didn't happen

In a world of his own, this chap. He always was, but the Irish electorate voted for him again and again. He was always thinking about getting elected but he had no plan for the country when he got there. His modus operandi when he got elected as a TD was to go knocking on doors around Drumcondra straight away after the election and that is what he did for the best part of 30 years in the dail. He wasn't there to do anything, just to get elected and it made him the perfect political animal, but extraordinarily limited at running the country.
