Ardboe 1-6 St Johns 2-11

What'd you make of St Johns?

Some size of men round the middle

Wasn't at the game as i was in Celtic Park but by all accounts St Johns were flying and won at a canter.
Ardboe haven't started training yet and were well short too so it's hard to read into results at this time of the year.

Didn't St Johns run St Galls close in the championship last year? I know the last time they won the title was 98 when they beat us in the Ulster club. It's a long time for a club like the Johnnies to go without a championship.

Just a few general knowledge questions as I know feck all about Ulster clubs besides seeing the odd game around Monaghan

Do people feel these leagues are a benifit to clubs or are there pressures on the county fixtures with extra games and also the added costs of travels etc around Ulster. How do you qualify or enter? Are all 9 counties represented and do County players play ?

saves the managers arranging frendlies as the games, venues and times are already arranged for them and they get to blood the young guns.  :)

Yeah ended up 5 points to nil. Glenullin led 2-0 at HT having played with a very strong breeze.
